Cookies
Our websites use so-called „cookies.“ Cookies are small data packets that do not cause any damage to your device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser deletes them automatically.
Cookies can be set by us (first-party cookies) or by third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies allow the integration of certain services provided by third-party companies within websites (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or displaying videos). Other cookies may be used to analyze user behavior or for advertising purposes.

The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and similar recognition technologies has been requested, processing is based exclusively on this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG); consent can be revoked at any time.
You can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy.

Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. Details on data processing by Borlabs Cookie can be found at https://borlabs.io/kb/what-information-does-borlabs-cookie-store/.
The Borlabs Cookie Consent technology is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if it was requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

Additionally, your IP address, log files, location information and other metadata may be collected via the chatbot. This data is stored on the servers of the chatbot provider.
Based on the collected data, user profiles may be created. The data may also be used to deliver interest-based advertising, provided the legal requirements (especially consent) are met. Chatbots may be linked to analytics and advertising tools for this purpose.
The collected data may also be used to improve our chatbots and their response behavior (machine learning).
The data you enter during communication will remain with us or the chatbot provider until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – especially retention periods – remain unaffected.
The legal basis for the use of chatbots is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if the chatbot is used for contract initiation or performance. If consent has been requested, processing is based exclusively on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. For the analysis, hCaptcha evaluates various information (e.g., IP address, time spent on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to IMI. If hCaptcha is used in „invisible mode,“ the analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.
Data is stored and analyzed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offerings from abusive automated spying and spam. If consent has been requested, processing will be carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Data processing is based on standard contractual clauses contained in the data processing addendum to IMI’s general terms and conditions or the data processing agreements.

The company is certified according to the „EU-US Data Privacy Framework“ (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA designed to ensure compliance with European data protection standards when processing data in the USA. Every company certified according to the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. Processing of Customer and Contract Data
We collect, process, and use personal customer and contract data to establish, define, and modify our contractual relationships. We collect, process, and use personal data about the use of this website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable or bill the user for the use of the service. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
The collected customer data will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship and expiration of any applicable statutory retention periods. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
10. Own Services
Handling of Applicant Data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g., by email, post, or via an online application form). Below, we inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data will be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions, and that your data will be treated with strict confidentiality.
Scope and Purpose of Data Collection
If you send us an application, we will process your associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication details, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary to decide whether to establish an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR (general contract initiation), and – if you have given your consent – Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. This consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on within our company to those persons involved in processing your application.
If your application is successful, the data you submitted will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act and Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship.
Data Retention Period
If we are unable to make you a job offer, you reject a job offer, or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have submitted for up to six months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application) based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. Retention is primarily for evidential purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the six-month period (e.g., due to an impending or pending legal dispute), it will only be deleted when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.
Longer retention may also occur if you have given your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
Admission to the applicant pool
If we do not make you a job offer, you may have the opportunity to be added to our applicant pool. If you are accepted, all documents and information from your application will be transferred to the applicant pool so that we can contact you if suitable vacancies arise.
Inclusion in the applicant pool is based solely on your express consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Providing your consent is voluntary and has no connection to the ongoing application process. The data subject may revoke their consent at any time. In this case, the data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted unless there are legal reasons for retention.
The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been given.
